About your trip

Zanzibar is an  archipelago made up of 4 large islands and several smaller islands. The main island, Unguja, has long been a centre of maritime trade. Its capital, Stone Town, where much of the architecture is still well preserved, you can breathe and feel the footprints of the rich and cosmopolitan history of this city, a unique place where East and West converge. Outside the city, the island abounds with endless white sand beaches popular with kite surfers, but also wild, rocky and quiet coves.

Burgundy Roots has partnered with Sakinah Retreats to bring you this unique experience. Sakinah Retreats is a retreat travel company based in Sydney, Australia, launched in January 2024. Their mission has resonated with thousands of Muslim women worldwide. With the ethos of "Find Your Peace," they invite you to embark on a journey towards inner tranquility through spiritual grounding, mindfulness, adventure, and immersion in the pristine beauty of nature. Their retreats, both in Australia and abroad, are thoughtfully designed to foster introspection, spiritual growth, sisterhood, and a reconnection with your fitrah.
